This years picnic had to be moved to the Gardenside Church because of severe weather conditions  but it was very nice to have bathrooms and air conditioning.  Also,  Lexington gave us a grant so we could have our food catered this year.  Sharon Schilling chose to have El Gran Tako,  located in the Gardenside Shopping center, to cater the event.  They supplied a taco bar with rice, beans, all the fixings and Flan for desert.  Sharon furnished some kind of orange drink in a margarita glass (I was afraid to ask what was in it).  Along with that, the "Midlife Harmony Band"  played many of our favorite 60's and 70's songs including my favorite, 'Ventura Highway' by America.
